Busking Permit

All buskers, performers, spruikers and pavement artists need to have a Busking Permit.

To obtain a Busking Permit you need to fill out the application form and pay a fee.

The permit allows you to perform at various locations in the Geelong region.  Although, if you wish to perform in Central Geelong you will also need to get permission from Council's Central Geelong and Waterfront Department by phoning 5272 4919 before you lodge your application form.

Why we do this

Busking Permits ensure that there are no clashes at popular locations while also ensuring that specific safety and other requirements are met.

What you can expect

Once your Busking Permit has been granted, you can perform for one month. Subsequent permits may be granted if there are no justifiable complaints/issues during the one-month trial period.

To obtain subsequent permits, you need to re-apply and pay the associated fee.
