Street Occupation Permits
A Street Occupation Permit is required for all works within the Public Space.
A Street Occupation Permit is required where people are involved with any Building Operations on the Footpath or the Road Reserve.
This includes:
- Cleaning windows, removal of Graffiti, painting.
- Replacing, Repairing Signs, Verandah (over street footpath).
- Additions / Alterations to any existing buildings (this also includes any repairs).
- Also a Street Occupation is required for the use of Knuckle Booms, Boom Lifts, Cranes etc.
Why we do this
To ensure Public Safety while Building Operations are taking place. To allow Council to regulate and monitor all works within the public space.
What you can expect
Fees are applicable depending on the scope of works and time spent within the public space.
